Blog #2: Does it get any more awesome??????

I woke up this glorious Saturday afternoon thinking about this band.  They opened for Primus last year at the Wellmont and because I wasn't there to witness it, they haunt my dreams every once in a while.  Nonetheless, I still wanna smoke drugs on their school bus...

We'll start here...

I found this the other night.  I love the Take Away Shows and I hope to one day play a tune for Mr. Moon.  But I'm a spectator above all.  I've spent far too much of my time burning CD's for friends of music I wanted them to hear.  I can't say I've ever really cared about whatever you were listening to.  I'm way more interested in getting you to hear what I want you to hear.  So sit still and listen.

I knowwww this is my very first glog, and I knowwww we haven't really formed a foundation of trust just yet.  But I promise in time you'll see I'm awfully consistent.  Check this here video, for instays...

This is actually the inspiration for this here frog.  I was watching this the other night.  I thought I'd seen all the Take Away Shows.  (Until now, Guillemots reined #1 with their performance of Made-Up Love Song #43, shot in some French stairwell.  Check it out.) But Andrew Bird's performance must've slipped through the klax.  I watched it several times and began sharing the wealth when I decided it'd be way easier to just post this shit up for you to dig.  This seemed an appropriate venue to deliver such musings.

So here it is.  My very first hog.  I'll be posting words, links, pictures, and the sounds of yesteryear as well as the contemporary artists that shake my soul.  But above all, this here glog is all about music.  It's about me finding awesome shit, and you reaping the benefits.  We'll start here...
